parks and water

there were two days in a row we went to different parks in the area. the parks, at least in their area, are amazing. clean, nice, mostly new, and the ones we went to had a park and then a water element. one day we hit the park to work up a sweat then swam in a lake. it was guarded by life guards and only got to about nipple deep on dad. the down side is the water is COLD!!!! no understatement, it maybe was low 70s. the girls did not notice. they splashed and ran and played in the sand. on another day we went to a splash pad where they had a dozen different water elements for the girls to run though, under, around and shoot at each other. again the water was COLD. they got into the swing of it and played till their lips chattered. then we hit another nice park for them to play and warm up.
