cereal

well we tried cereal the other night thinking that might be easier to get Rigby to eat since she was not fond of the carrots. i made a runny mess of one tablespoon of cereal to 4 tablespoons of breast milk. since she was about 2 weeks old we have been putting a tablespoon of cereal in every other bottle to help with acid reflux per doctor's orders. so both the cereal and breast milk are both common occurrences in her daily life and normal smells to her. so i thought this would be easy to get her to eat from a spoon. well i was WRONG. she had this look on her face of pure horror like she just knew i was trying to feed her poison. she just holds this look on her face and will not close her mouth so 95% of the spoonful of liquid cereal pours out of her mouth onto the bib. i tried this 4 or 5 times before giving up and putting this exact same concoction in a bottle and added a little more milk and fed it to her. presenting it in this fashion (bottle) she guzzled it right down like it was the best think on earth. silly girl. so i have deduced that she does not like the spoon and could really careless what is on it.
