day/night of firsts

well yesterday was the first day of daddy's new job. which was paperwork and such no real work to it and it went fine. it was the first time Rigby was left home alone with a sitter and she did fine. she had tummy time, a ba-ba and slept, basically uneventful. mommy had a first too, it was the first night since we brought Rigby home that we slept in separate rooms. i know not a big deal for most of you, but i have been sleeping in her room and her mostly sleeping in the crib, but i am right there, where i can hear her breathing, squirming, and dreaming. but now that daddy has to be at the airport at 3a he has to leave at 2a. the puppies were left in the master bedroom together hoping they would snuggle in on mommy/daddy's pillows and go back to bed. nice thought! they barked, screamed, howled, and whined and all of this was the 20 min it took me to feed Rigby. so i knew what i had to do, i had to go across the hall and sleep with the boys. leaving little Rigby all by herself. i had the monitor on and i was not neurotic about getting up and checking on her, i knew she was fine. but it does pull at my heart strings being that much farther away from my baby. does not affect her in the least...she had no idea of the change. ha ha.
